Intensive Mathematics Program (IMP)


This program will satisfy the Early Start requirement for first-time freshman who will be attending CSUSB in the fall of 2013.

IMP is designed for CSUSB first-time freshman entering Fall 2013. If you did not perform to your full potential on the Entry Level Mathematics test (ELM), IMP gives you another chance to start CSUSB fully prepared for one of the General Education mathematics courses.

Students, who attend all 10 days of Session I and successfully pass the exam on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, will be given a Credit by Examination (CBE) for Math 80 and will be invited to continue on to Session II.

Students, who attend all 10 days of Session II and successfully pass the exam on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, will be given a Credit by Examination (CBE) for Math 90 and will be eligible to register for a General Education mathematics course in the fall.

All students are required to attend both sessions. For a student to successfully pass IMP, regular attendance is required - no exceptions.



Daily Schedule



  • Class: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Lunch - ( on your own ): 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Tutoring: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (MANDATORY)



Cost:

$190.00 without parking, $230.00 including parking

Financial aid is not available for this program. Payment plans are available please contact the department for more information.

Daily parking permits are available from any one of the permit dispensers on campus or from the Information Centers located on University Parkway or Coyote Drive for $5.00.

  • July 18- Registration Deadline, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THIS DATE
  • July 24- All payments due
  • July 30- First day of Session I
  • August 14- Last day of Session I
  • August 15- First day of Session II
  • September 3- Last day of Session II
